About Swedish Family Medicine Residency
Our residency program began in 1994. The University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine, in conjunction with Swedish Medical Center and The Colorado Health Foundation, operates the program. Our focus is to train and educate outstanding, caring family physicians with a focus on the Patient-Centered Medical Home. At Swedish Family Medicine Residency each resident learns to integrate clinical competence, a professional attitude, and the ability to communicate with patients and peers into a life-long practice style.
Residents benefit from the great faculty and other residents, relationships that often become lifelong friendships, learning opportunities close to home and abroad, and the unique longitudinal curriculum that closely replicates the life of a traditional family physician.
