Swedish Family Medicine Residency Curriculum

The Swedish Family Medicine Residency is an approved three year training program committed to excellence in teaching and practicing family medicine in both hospital and office settings. Six residents are accepted into the first year of training. The curriculum incorporates all requirements of the American Board of Family Medicine and is subject to continuing review and modification. The residency is looking for highly motivated residents interested in learning the full range of family medicine in an innovative longitudinal setting. Below, find an example of our current curriculum and rotation structure.

The longitudinal curriculum at Swedish Family Medicine Residency allows PGYI and PGYII residents during most rotations to spend three to four half-days per week seeing patients at the Swedish Family Medicine Center (except for away rotations and call months). PGYIII residents see patients four to five half-days per week. Residents are required to see a minimum of 1750 patients in the SFMR office during their training
